Pulmonary Alveoli
Pulmonary Alveoli
rescued leather, human scale tree, silk, tubing, air
6’x 7’x 3’

This kinetic sculpture evokes the intimate architecture of the pulmonary alveoli—delicate sacs where air becomes life. When the bellows are engaged, a slow exhale begins: bladders gently swell and deflate, mimicking the tender rhythm of breath. Each activation invites participation in a shared inhale, an embodied meditation on respiration, fragility, and form.
