Praying Mantis Columbarium
1990s slide of a sculptural upper-arm cuff resting on its side. A hand-sewn black leather band encircles the arm, pierced horizontally by a long, sharply tapered sterling-silver spike with a shorter silver form emerging from the opposite side.
Sealed inside the hollow silver spike is the dried body of a praying mantis the artist found on the ground, creating a tiny wearable burial chamber.
